The Adrian Tobias Room was bursting with love, laughter, and non-stop good vibes as the Adrian College Special Olympics Team threw their annual Sweetheart Prom—and it was nothing short of magical!
From epic breakdance battles to a limbo line that felt like it could stretch across campus, the dance floor was the place to be. Teams from all corners of campus—Dance, Soccer, Hockey, and more—came out to show their love and support, turning the night into a true celebration of community and connection.
Making the evening even more special, Miss River Raisin herself, Kaylie Simpson, and former Adrian College Dance Team Coach, joined the fun. Crown or not, Kaylie’s heart was the real star of the evening as she advocated for mentoring young minds. “At the end of the day, working with kids is the end goal,” she shared. “I try not to come out as often with my crown and sash so that I can just be Kaylie—because that’s what I want to be remembered by: my faith, my name, and my love for helping mentor kids.”
Guests enjoyed delicious eats from Sodexo, snapped memories at the photo booth, and danced the night away thanks to an incredible DJ spinning all the right tracks.
A major shoutout to the Adrian College Special Olympics Team for throwing another unforgettable—and oh-so-sweet—Sweetheart Prom. Thank you, Adrian College Soccer, for heading this event!
