The start of the Spring Semester brings a new activity to Adrian College’s campus. AC Color Guard, a visual aspect of the marching band, will continue spinning flags with the start of Winter Guard. Similar to the Color Guard, the Winter Guard consists of spinning flags to choreography inspired by recorded music. An informational session was held at the start of the semester where all students were welcome and provided information about the first season. With the number of members doubling from the marching season, the current roster for AC Winter Guard stands strong at ten members. 

Coach Keri Black is the Assistant Director & Student Support Specialist and a CCC adjunct professor on campus. Captain Owen Callahan, a freshman at Adrian College, is involved in many campus organizations and has three years of guard experience under his belt. Keeping their first season small, the Winter Guard will have three performances this semester. They will perform during basketball halftimes on Feb. 12th at 7 pm, Feb. 15th at 1 pm, and Feb. 19th at 7 pm. The theme of their show is Awaken the Magic, featuring hit songs from Disney movies, all of which portray a message of being true to yourself and following your dreams.
