Bulldog Nutrition (BDN) is the newest addition to the Adrian College campus and is located in the Merillat, right inside our very own fitness center. BDN is a health and wellness drink bar that helps athletes and students improve their performances in their sports and in the classroom. They incorporate immune support, antioxidants, vitamins, metabolism boosters, caffeine, and more into their drinks. They offer teas, tea bombs, collagen refreshers, protein shakes, meal replacement, and post workout shakes. This would not be possible without the owner and entrepreneur, Angela Lawson.
Angela Lawson is the owner of Bulldog Nutrition and also owns Nutrition365 in downtown Adrian. She is an entrepreneur and brought Bulldog Nutrition to Adrian College to give students access to improve their lifestyles through healthy, mindful drinks. I went to talk with Angela and asked her about how she got involved with Adrian College. She said that she had the idea when she first became an alumna, she had a vision and reached out to the college. That was around five years ago, before COVID-19. She then said President Jeffery Docking sought her out and talked with her for a few hours, really trying to get the idea of what Angela saw in the place. He fell in love with the idea and asked Angela to bring her idea to life for the students.
BDN and Angela have been extremely successful since being on campus and opening. They held the grand opening of Bulldog Nutrition on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025. They used this grand opening to officially introduce themselves to the students body and it was a huge success. Although they have been here only a short while on campus they have been hard at working trying to connect with multiple different student organizations. For example, they collaborated with Adrian College’s Alpha Phi during this year’s “Bid Day” for the sororities to introduce their new members. Also they teamed up with Alpha Sigma Alpha this Homecoming to fundraise money for the Special Olympics, one of their philanthropies. They were also seen at the annual Crazy CAN event that showcases all of the student organizations that the campus has to offer.
Bulldog Nutrition has been an absolute powerhouse since coming to campus. They have truly made sure that the campus knows that it is here and ready to help fuel the students either in their sport or their classes. BDN is also a company that is more than willing to collaborate with student organizations on campus to help spread their message about being there for students during any stage of their lives here on the Adrian College Campus.
