Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority stand by during the red light/green light competition.
This past week April 6th through April 13th, our Greek life on campus participated in an extravaganza coined as Greek Week. This week held the purpose of bringing the chapters on campus closer together through friendly competition. We have four sororities on campus; Alpha Phi, Alpha Sigma Alpha, Chi Omega, and Delta Nu Kappa along with five fraternities; Alpha Tau Omega, Pi Kappa Alpha, Theta Chi, Tau Kappa Epsilon, Sigma Alpha Epsilon. They all competed throughout the week to be the winner of Greek Week.
Kicking off the week they all met the Friday before to announce their theme of Disney Movies. Each chapter was assigned a movie that they would be representing throughout the week. Starting off the week a chant-off was held with our Chi Omega sorority winning. There was also a trivia challenge shortly after the chant-offs and then a phone-a-thon raising money for Noah Pieh Scholarship later in the evening. On Monday the big events were donating or volunteering at the blood drive along with Kickball with our Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and Alpha Phi sorority winning. On Tuesday there was a Red Light/Green Light and tug-of-war competition.
A Theta Chi member won the first round of red light green light, and the Chi Omega sorority and Alpha Tau Omega fraternity won the tug of war contest.
There was a Cake Off held on Wednesday with sorority Delta Nu Kappa winning. A volleyball tournament was held on Thursday and the chapter participated in small groups for the ROTC Army Challenge.
An optional quad mingle was scheduled so our Greek life could play games and interact with each other after a busy week. Ending their events an egg hunt for a community service event. Lastly, our chapters all met at three in the afternoon to announce Sigma Alpha Epsilon as the winners for the week having a Fraternity win the event for the first time in seven years.
